With over two decades of experience in the construction and project management industry, Sue Marrero brings deep expertise in project controls, resource management, and cross-functional coordination to her role as Director of Project Controls at KMI International. She has built a distinguished career managing high-profile projects in the themed entertainment and telecommunications sectors, including complex programs for Universal Creative's Epic Universe and Beijing Parks and Resorts.
At KMI, Sue leads the development and implementation of project controls processes, budget reconciliation strategies, and change management protocols across a range of construction initiatives. Her leadership is marked by her strategic approach to aligning creative vision with construction execution, as well as her ability to foster collaboration among owners, design teams, contractors, and vendors.
Before joining KMI, Sue held senior project controls roles supporting major telecommunications providers such as AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile, where she managed large-scale infrastructure deployments encompassing tens of thousands of cell sites nationwide. Her early career also includes extensive experience overseeing fiscal operations, tracking project performance, and guiding cross-disciplinary teams through successful completions.
Sue is OSHA 10-Hour certified and holds a degree in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale. She is known for her attention to detail, adaptability, and consistent delivery of high-quality results on complex, deadline-driven projects.
