Collaborative, strategic, and goal-oriented qualities define Chris’ professional approach to working with clients and teams. With over 29 years of experience working in various sectors such as Theme Parks, Water Parks, K through 12 and Higher Education, Maritime, Retail, Food & Beverage, Industrial, Medical and Zoo construction, there are not many construction circumstances that Chris has not encountered. Growing up in a family-owned Construction firm, starting out in the field and working his way up to Chief Operations Office, Chris has hands-on field experience as well as management experience with a wide range of projects. Chris values developing long-lasting relationships with client’s team members. He is known for his attention to detail, which translates to accurate and high-quality work.

As KMI’s Director of Estimating, Chris works closely with clients and advises them on the most effective project construction methods. By working closely with the client and design team, Chris helps to guide the design through estimating and cost control to ensure his client’s designs fit their financial goals. Chris is effective at developing value engineering opportunities to help owners and designers achieve their dreams with cost effective solutions.

Chris is skilled at conceptual estimating and can develop cost estimates from the most basic of sketches or verbal descriptions of a client’s ideas. This skill helps him identify unique and innovative approaches to sophisticated construction challenges. Chris is also skilled at cost control throughout the lifespan of construction projects; assisting clients with estimating through the design process, contracting strategies, the buyout of the projects, and managing and negotiating change orders, the project can be brought in within the projected budget. Chris has experience with complex, award-winning theme park projects involving all aspects of construction, themed work, and operational requirements. Chris has experience with a wide range of projects from the smallest renovation to large multifaceted projects valued at more than a billion dollars. One of his proudest professional accomplishments was being a Disney Imagineer and part of the team that built Pandora: The World of Avatar, and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

In his time away from work, Chris enjoys renovating historic houses, wood working, and travel. Having worked in the construction industry for most of his life, he enjoys working with his hands and seeing a project come to life from beginning to end.
