KMI International partners regularly with Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida to help sort goods donated to the organization and send to families in need in Central Florida. Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida plays a vital role in fighting hunger and food insecurity in the community. They have several programs and activities to benefit the community including:

  1. Food Distribution: They collect, store, and distribute donated food and grocery products to more than 550 nonprofit feeding partners in Central Florida, including food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and other organizations.
  2. Emergency Food Assistance: They provide immediate food assistance to individuals and families in crisis situations.
  3. Kids Programs: They run programs like Kids Cafe, which provides nutritious meals and snacks to children in after-school programs, and the Hi-Five program, which offers meals during the summer.
  4. Senior Hunger Programs: They offer programs specifically designed to meet the needs of senior citizens, providing them with access to nutritious food.
  5. Nutrition Education: They educate the community on nutrition and healthy eating habits through classes, cooking demonstrations, and other resources.
